dc.description.abstract Nanoscale Fe0 particles are a promising technology for in situ remediation of tricholoroethylene (TCE) DNAPL source areas, but the efficiency of this process is hindered by the rapid aggregation of the iron nanoparticles due to their reactivity . The aim of this study was to evaluated the properties different formulation of nanoparticles (coated, added with metals, emulsified.) and the influence in the surface properties and particles size. The present work includes also kinetic studies of the rate of dechlorination and the kinetic constant of the reductive dechlorination of TCE. The potential of using these formulation of nZVI and the problems linked with technology are investigated in the present work. it_IT
