This research, in fact, aims at enhancing our understanding of the extensive impacts the above-mentioned goods produced in the social, the economic and the environmental spheres by considering their historical origins and recognising their relevance in the present-day context.
Furthermore, I will assess the environmental ramifications thoroughly by highlighting the ecological impact resulting from the manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of such goods.
The results of the research findings highlight the emergence of global commodities, namely: gold, sugar and cotton during the Early Modern Era and cobalt, crude oil and gold in contemporary times, established the foundation for the linked global society that we now live in.
