dc.description.note This thesis aims to investigate the use of social abilities during a cooperative learning activity. Two third-year classes of an Italian scientific high school are compared, namely a control class and an experimental class. Experimental class has received a brief training on social abilities before performing cooperative learning activity, in order to investigate whether the training has emphasized differences with the control class which has not received the training. Data have been collected through direct observation and pre- and post- training questionnaires. Moreover, students' perceptions of the importance of implementing cooperative learning in class have been analyzed. it_IT
