Valorizzazione della biodiversità in aziende agricole biologiche: il caso studio di Casa di Anna.

Abstract

The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has placed biodiversity as a good key asset to be protected to ensure our well-being and that of future generations. Thirty years after its inception, the expected results have still not been achieved due to the lack of public education and awareness of biodiversity by affecting not only the everyday life of the individual, but also policy and institutional choices that will result in environmentally unfriendly land management. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to promote an educational-disclosure and biodiversity conservation course within the organic farm and social farm "Casa di Anna," aimed specifically at enhancing the vertebrate fauna habitually encountered. The methodology used for the development of a checklist was that of camera trapping ensuring constant sampling, minimally invasive and especially useful for the most elusive species. Overall, this study identified 6 mammal species and 25 bird species. Further objective of this study was to submit proposals for the design of pannier graphics whose primary function will be to accompany towards an educational path within the farm and discover the biodiversity kept there.
