dc.description.abstract In the last few years, cyber risk has attracted increasing attention by researchers, regulators and business operators and has established itself as one of the major emerging risks. The COVID-19 crisis and the massive adoption of the homeworking has further contributed to worsen the situation, with an increasing frequency of the number of cyberattacks. The literature on cyber risk is relatively limited but is growing at a robust pace. This thesis aims at giving an overview of all the main challenges related to cyber risk and to contribute with an empirical analysis of the global frequency of cyberattacks using publicy available data and Bayesian INGARCH models. it_IT
