Abstract:
The first chapter provides a theoretical contribution in the field of social welfare measurement and social choice over social
mobility matters. In the second chapter I develop an experimental questionnaire aiming at investigating individuals’ evaluation of social mobility, both in terms of inter-generational mobility and in terms of intra-generational mobility. In the third chapter I develop a further experimental questionnaire aiming at capturing individuals' perception about several mobility measures.
