Per natura siam vicini: analisi del manoscritto "Xing zi ming chu" rinvenuto a Guodian

Abstract

Questo studio esamina uno dei manoscritti rinvenuti a Guodian nel 1993, il "Xing zi ming chu", noto per le sue argomentazioni, distanti dal pensiero di Mencio e Xunzi, sulla natura dell'uomo. Il presente studio esamina alcuni concetti chiave del manoscritto, come quello di natura umana e successivamente si concentra su alcuni aspetti etici come la natura dell'azione morale dell'uomo, nonché affronta la traduzione e l'analisi filosofica di alcuni dei passi più problematici del manoscritto.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of one of the manuscripts unearthed at Guodian in 1993. The "Xing zi ming chu" provide an excellent example of the lively debate on human nature held in China during the fourth century B.C. and face the issues on man's natural dispositions with an approach different from those which characterized the work of Mencius and Xunzi. This study focuses on the main concepts of the manuscripts, such as "xing" (natural disposition), "qing" (man's natural capacity to respond to reality), "ren", and faces some of the problems dealing with the translation of some of the most puzzling passages of the text, helping disclosing the "Xing zi ming chu" concept of "dao" and the problems concerning human moral action. This last topic is addressed with an inquiru on the concept of "wei" (false, artificial) and demonstrate that this character is crucial in determining the nature of human moral conduct.
