Starting from the origins of eyewear and the evolution of the Italian eyewear district in Belluno area, the thesis retraces the birth and history of Luxottica Group Spa, focusing on its unique business model.
This work examines the evolution of the company, finding out how it was able to build a profitable strategy adapting it at every change in the environment. With more than 50 years of experience in the eyewear sector, Luxottica Group Spa continues to pursue an international expansion phase facing new challenges that keep it the leader at a worldwide level.
The purpose of this thesis is to gain an in depth understanding of exactly what is the competitive advantage that Luxottica has over the main competitors and prove whether the company is solid and well-established to persists through time. |
