dc.description.abstract |
This dissertation examines the importance of project management in a world where project-based organizations are spreading and taking many different organizational forms.
The work begins with ad explanation of traditional project management and its techniques, and then moves on to more recent and effective project mangement methods: Stage-Gate and Agile. As this dissertation focuses on project management techniques for software development, Agile philosophy and its methodologies are analyzed in depth. A digression is made on Agile boundary object, on one of which the company case study is based on.
This dissertation aims to give an overview of project management techniques with a focus on software industry, highlighting the importance of Agile boundary objects for a successful collaboration between companies. |
