dc.description.abstract This work has the aim of analyzing the Como textile industrial district, through both existing literature on this subject, and the analysis of two companies. The first chapter will be about the concept of industrial district. We will analyze also the role this kind of organization always had in Italy, new challenges and pressures it has to face in the last few years, and the possible reactions to them. In the second chapter, we will present a focus on the Como textile district: its qualitative and quantitative characteristics, its performance and the way it deals with the crisis. The third chapter will present the case studies: Taroni Spa and Ongetta Srl. The focus will be on their structure, their role within the district, and on the way they manage they internationalization practices. Finally, the last chapter will focus on conclusions, and will try to relate literature to evidences from the case studies. it_IT
