Abstract:
In a context where open innovation is gaining more and more ground, H-Farm, a venture capitalist and start-up incubator in northern Italy, in 2013 developed a series of innovative events, called H-acks. The h-acks are hackathons, 24-hour non-stop marathon during which different professionals come together as a team and work on themes proposed by participating companies. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the dynamics within groups of participants at these events and to understand what are the most common behaviors and patterns behind them.
