Abstract:
Business is a very common and used words that stands for a variety of meanings. Todays concept of business is not just concerning in profit making. During the years managers and people in general has arisen a responsible commitment toward society. In this sense the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility has gaining in importance in the business context. During the years the literature review has framed different definitions, but the is still no standard approach on the topic. What is widely recognized is a linkage between CSR and Human Resource Management. Exactly the purpose of this dissertation is investigating which are the implications of CSR within HRM and vice versa. In doing this, a special attention is dedicated to sustainability issue. In order to better understand and look into this non simple relation some case studies will be introduced. After a theoretical review, a method will be design to provide a better picture of how, what and why the selected case studies respond to CSR policy evaluating the HRM policies. Appraising the impact that business have on society, an outlook will be useful to foster a long-term sustainable perspective.
