dc.description.abstract Starting from the birth of eyeglasses and the foundation of the Italian eyewear district in Cadore, the paper analyzes the evolution of the Italian eyewear company Safilo Group Spa in its 80 years of history, highlighting all the moments of change in the business model. A deepened examination of the current business strategy and identity follows. A final chapter is dedicated to open innovation and its potential application in the company. it_IT
