Abstract:
The thesis is about the financial contagion in the world economic system. It speaks about the Crisis in Thailand in 1997 that spread in Russia and in Brazil. Then it focuses on the Crisis of 2007/2008 in the USA, in particular on the relationship between the Money Market Fund, the REPO Market and the ABCP Market. At the end, the thesis speaks about the spread of the crisis from America to Europe: is it contagion or simple interconnectedness?
