dc.description.abstract |
According to the content and structure‟s needs, this thesis will be divided into 14 detailed chapters. The 1st chapter will be a brief introduction of the Venice Biennale‟s history and background as the most famous and authoritative international art exhibition, will also introduce the situation of Chinese contemporary art in the early 1990s. The 2nd to the 13th chapters are the main part of the thesis, each chapter describes one particular session of the Venice Biennale, from 1993 to 2013. And each chapter will be roughly divided in to two parts: The first part show the theme and ideas of the current session of the Venice Biennale and make a comparison with the previous sessions for finding out the changes. The second part focus on the Chinese contemporary art‟s participation, including the participating model, involving Chinese artists and their works, and make a brief description about the development status of the Chinese contemporary art. The 14th chapter as the final one, try to summarize the development of the world contemporary art, especially of the Chinese contemporary art during the latest 20 years. Try to derive a suitable worldwide cultural responsibility, and to propose a better future for international contemporary art. |
