dc.description.abstract |
The objective of this dissertation is to compare France with Italy in the economic field that is for both countries one of the best examples of their savoir-faire: the wine production. In particular, the aim is to show the legislation aspect supporting this economic sector, starting from the first examples of laws concerning wine to the latest ones approved. The analysis tries to describe the circumstances that gave birth to the wine legal system, especially the economic and social factors and the actors who played key roles during the process. The political actors taken into consideration are France, Italy and the European Union and in order to better understand their activity in this sector, the case of two wines is reported. The dissertation is composed by nine chapters and it can be divided into three sections: the wines history, the creation of the law systems inside the borders of the three political parts and the consequences of their application to the wines cases. The first section is opened by the history of the French wine, the Montrachet, followed by the Italian one, the Amarone della Valpolicella. The second part is dedicated to the creation and the development of the wine systems in France, Italy and, from the 1957, in the European Union, focusing also on the differences of the two national systems before and after the introduction of the European actor. Finally, the third section concerns the evolution of the national legislations dedicated to the two wines. |
