In today’s globalized world, expatriation is a constantly changing procedure, and many are the challenges that companies need to face in their operations overseas.
In this evolving context, the management of Taiwanese expatriates is still an ambiguous concept. Because of the contentious nature of the existing literature, the international community lacks a unified and consistent perspective on managing resources originating from Asia and transitioning to an International Assignment in Europe.
Contradictory results instil in multinational organizations (MNCs) and practitioners a sceptical attitude toward finding the most proper way to effectively deal with Taiwanese overseas assignments in Europe. As a result, the development and implementation of effective global management programs are impeded.
The purpose of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of the actions that companies can adopt in the management of Taiwanese resources in European subsidiaries.
Within qualitative research, Taiwanese expatriates’ perspective is analyzed, with the scope of gaining a deeper understanding of expatriates’ experience and providing new insights about the possible actions that companies could adopt in such scenarios. |
