Abstract:
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the impact of demographic change and its macroeconomic consequences on the organizational management. In the last years, China is facing demographic challenges characterized by an aging population and a reduction in fertility rate. In the face of this change and a feeling of general concern for the economic stability of the country, the government has implemented a series of policies and measures to encourage Chinese couples to have more children. The amendment of the Law on Population and Family planning on 2021 has started a series of measures and initiatives aimed at promoting a better balance between life and work, including a greater extension of parental leave. In addition, in line with a demographic change that also sees a greater participation of women in the workplace, the Three Child Policy is perceived by Chinese women like a factor of greater discrimination in workplace, although the government has put in place measures for greater protection in this regard. In this context of change, also aimed at sustainable development, Chinese companies and human resource management have the task of responding to the government, and their administrations, adopted an approach that goes beyond entrenched habits and cultural influences and on the contrary can result in advantages.
