dc.description.abstract This study explores the interplay between meritocracy and effort within the context of recruiting and valuation processes in the field of Human Resources Management in China. The examination focuses on how merit-based principles and the exertion of effort are interconnected in shaping the dynamics of personnel selection and performance evaluation. The Chinese Human Resources Management landscape, influenced by cultural factors, is analyzed to understand how meritocratic ideals and individual endeavor contribute to the overall system. The findings shed light on the intricate relationship between meritocracy, effort, and the effectiveness of recruitment and evaluation practices in the Chinese context, providing valuable insights for both academic understanding and practical applications in human resource management. it_IT
