dc.description.abstract High resolution Digital Terrain Models of a sector of the Trieste Karst, obtained through Light Detection and Ranging, have been visualised and managed using QGIS and Relief Visualization Toolbox to identify possible archaeological anomalies. The latter have been studied and checked through field survey, allowing to improve our knowledge of the Roman landscape in the Aurisina area. Large and previously unknown rural buildings, segments of the road network and remains of the Karst centuriation have been identified. Their archaeological and historical significance has been preliminarily discussed. it_IT
