dc.description.abstract The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the concept of the Metaverse as well as its constituent parts in order to determine the many types of business models available in the Metaverse as well as the motivations behind investments made by various firms. The scope of the case study has been limited to a sample of only two businesses, Ubisoft and Adidas, which are evaluating their most recent investments and initiatives. The research questions for the thesis are as follows: Why do businesses have a tendency to invest in the Metaverse? How will the future population benefit from the Metaverse? What are the potential hazards and opportunities? The research approach that will be used for this thesis work is a qualitative case study. The author intends to explore two organizations that are actively investing in Metaverse in order to acquire a competitive edge over their competitors in the market. The author conducted an analysis of all of the most recent numbers and initiatives carried out by those two firms and compared their respective goals and objectives in the Metaverse. it_IT
