dc.description.abstract The proposed research aims to define the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations that predict job satisfaction among employees in the Italian hospitality industry. The model investigates an individual's personal traits and attitudes toward the company as important factors in developing consumer-oriented behavior and, consequently, higher job satisfaction within the hospitality industry. Conversely, the research focuses on employees' perceptions of the organization's characteristics that directly impact their job satisfaction. This includes their assessment of job security, the presence of an empowering workplace, and the presence of an organizational structure that facilitates career development. Additionally, the research considers the importance of leadership in the industry. Hotel and HR managers should prioritize the most influential motivators mentioned above to enhance employee retention and satisfaction. These factors are fundamental for achieving high job performance in industries where employees have direct contact with the final customer. it_IT
