This thesis embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the intricate interplay between artists, technology, and the ever-evolving business model of the modern music industry. Through interviews and secondary data analysis, this examination delves deep into the strategies employed to create and capture value in this dynamic environment, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities that define the digital platforms era for musicians and all the other actors involved in the value chain.
