The aim of this thesis is to investigate the relation between opinion press and the facts related to Vittorio Arrigoni, the Italian kidnapped and killed in April 2011 in Gaza in strange circustamces. This thesis is divided in three different parts : The first chapter will provide the historical framework to the second and third chapter.
I will analyze the way in which historical facts influenced the socioeconomic structure of the Gaza Strip from 1948 until today.
Main aim will be to provide information about the reason why the territory of Gaza became so significant for the developpment of ISM's work and values.
The second part that focuses on the ISM movement, considering also the history of the movement and its evolution and a third part that analyses of analysis of newspapers’ s articles (images, languages, type of titles, adjective associated to Arrigoni and to its kidnapping and death).
In this part I choosed for each country the newspaper with most articles about the way they reported the kidnapping and death of the young activist. I considered in particularly four countries: Italy, France, England and Spain. In England, France and Spain the most important national newspaper didn't write about the argument so I have to spread my research in other newspaper as for exemple free newspaper or national magazine. |
