Abstract:
The thesis examines the sustainability of the automotive industry, focusing on both its products and business model. Thus, it analyzes the roles and contributions of key actors, including consumers, the energy sector, and governmental institutions, in fostering a sustainable automotive industry. The study investigates whether the industry and its major players are genuinely committed to promoting sustainability in the transport sector or merely producing products that appear sustainable as a means of maintaining industry viability. It draws on a literature review that is supported by secondary data to provide an in-depth analysis of the sustainability of the automotive industry.
