Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the impact of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine on Chinese companies' supply chain risk management. The conflict has critical consequences on the economic and financial assets on a global scale. In fact, the Western measures taken against Russia have considerable repercussions on the international economic partnerships among major global economies including China. Due to the conflict, one of the severely disrupted supply chain sector is the energy industry, as Russia is a major exporter of crude oil and natural gas. Therefore, depending on the position China is taking on the war, it will have a significant impact on the supply chain risk management of Chinese companies' strategies, especially concerning energy supply chain, oil imports and costs.
