Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to analyze the influence of ESG factors in an acquisition. The first four chapters of this dissertation dive into the details of the history and theory of ESG and its metrics, providing the reader with the basics on sustainability and the correlated reporting. In the following chapter, the reader is provided with information about mergers and acquisitions, as well as the tools to analyze the different dynamics that take place when one or the other happens. In the central chapters, a database is analyzed and the results are shared. Finally, conclusions are drawn and shared.
