dc.description.abstract This paper analyses the current environment, the opportunities, the obstacles and the challenging situations of a new kind of employment model, the so-called gig-economy. It will be explained how the gig-economy is changing the situation of workers, what are the pros and the cons of this new kind of work environment, and how is changing in terms of laws. It will be also studied and anaysed the situation of riders in China, taking riders under big companies such Ele.me and Meituan as a case study. it_IT
