dc.description.abstract Electric vehicles and electric mobility in particular, represent a more green alternative with respect to the classic petrol and diesel vehicles (also called conventional vehicles). This dichotomy has become one of the most discussed topics regarding the automotive market and the global economy. As electric vehicles' technology is at the birth stage and it is moving to the growth stage in its cycle, it is very crucial to understand which key factors could influence positively (or negatively) the idea of buying an electric car. To get better insights of consumers' perceptions, a survey was built in order to satisfy this request, which is a key point of this research, then, through the system dynamic approach, these data are used in order to represent an image of what the real market should be. So, this research will highlight the principal aspects that characterize the demand of electric and conventional vehicles, how the demand of vehicles interacts with the dynamics of population and GDP, finally, how the psychological perception of the consumers is linked to the above-mentioned modules. This sketched model should provide the key factors that can lead to progressive substitution from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles. it_IT
