The goal of the dissertation is to understand how the passage of information between the company and suppliers are processed, through new IT systems to dominate market dynamics. During my work experience at San Marco Group, I was able to investigate how the relationships with suppliers are managed to improve the business performance using management information systems, and, also, I implemented the company's supplier portal, which had helped me to read each issue and its significant impact on the entire supply chain, starting from a collection and subsequent manipulation of data based on an ERP system.
The recent technologies process substantial amounts of information, which enables us to avoid emergencies and to pursue the improvement of the qualitative and economic levels of supply, the search for supply alternatives and at the same time to classify suppliers based on different elements.
Through the implementation of a new supplier portal, latest changes in the business process led to a better time to market, greater efficiency in transactions, better competitive ability, lower business risk and an increase in the quality of services and products purchased. The purpose of collecting this information brings important results along the supply chain such as optimization of the time required for conducting operations, greater security in the correctness of operations and keep update different departments in real time. |
