Abstract:
European Union support by funding programs has been controversial, especially for countries dealing with a financial crisis. Here, we are going to focus on the case of Greece and the elective outcomes for Greek parties (Eurosceptic and Europhile) throughout all the elections taken place in the years 2014-2020, their relation with European Union funds regarding the regional development of Greece, the level that these funds are supported and how much they affect elective results of the parties that introduced them. A RDD model will be used to perform this analysis using data provided by Eurostat, European Commission and the Greek Ministry of Interior affairs.
