Abstract:
The main goal of the current research is to study the impact of a CLIL virtual museum visit at The Peggy Guggenheim Collection on the development of students’ intercultural awareness.
The novelty of this study is in the proposal of a learning module that bridges the gap between formal and non-formal language learning. Through the experimentation of this module with Russian upper-secondary school students, the study aims to tackle the hidden C in CLIL, that is, the cultural dimension. Specifically, data will be collected through a questionnaire to students to investigate how engaging with activities based on Russian arts has influenced their understanding of their own culture and positive attitudes towards otherness.
