Abstract:
This research aims to explore the behavioral factors influencing individual investors’ investment decision-making at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, as well as the impact of these factors on investment performance. Vietnam has witnessed a significant change in recent decades since the country transitioned from a command economy to a market economy in 1986. Vietnam’s stock market is relatively young compared with other countries in Southeast Asia, however, it has shown tremendous potential and an accelerating pace of development.
The research surveyed 250 individual investors at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange. The questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS soft wares. As behavioral finance has not been studied extensively in Vietnam, this research is expected to contribute to the development of this field.
