dc.description.abstract This work aims to give the readers the essential elements to understand the context of the development of science fiction in China from the late Qing dynasty to nowadays. Han Song as an author, his writings and the translation of three of his short stories in Italian will be considered as the pivot of this thesis. In order to properly write this work, I’ve read sources from academic journals and peer-reviewed papers both in English and in the Chinese language. I’ve expanded my research by also reading newspaper articles about science fiction and interviews with the main authors of science fiction in China. The aim of this thesis is not only to furnish a translation of the works of an author whose importance is growing faster and faster in China but also to raise awareness on such a topic and how science fiction is becoming more and more important on different perspectives and how is receiving more and more attention by the media and Chinese government. it_IT
