Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the employment of language learning skills in the study of a foreign language in a High School, throughout a research conducted during an internship at "Ettore Majorana-Elena Corner High School" of Mirano (VE). The project of this thesis consists of the investigation of three research questions: the first, concerning the employment of language learning skills through the direct observation of an English teacher; the second, concerning the strategies adopted by students in their study of
English language outside the school environment; the third, regarding the analysis of the learning style profile of a student. At the end, thanks to the use of graphs and tables, it is provided a detailed analysis of the results achieved in 150 hours of observation through the employment of different instruments.
