Abstract:
The global crisis that took place in 2008 caused a big economic shock to the entire global economy.
Some of the european countries have been hit worse than other countries and Italy is no exception.
In this work we look at providing an assessment on the introduction of ACE in Italy in 2011, a measure
italian government introduced to help the italian economy, and the effect it had on the Italian
manufacturing companies’ capitalization in the following 10 years.
This work is divided in three sections, more precisely we will start by presenting the specific economic
Italian scenario, its chronic indebtedness characteristic both state owned and firm wise accentuated by
the 2008 crisis.
Following a description and an explanation on the notion of ACE beginning from its general genesis to
the issues it wanted to solve, we then begin on analyzing some selected financial data provided by the
AIDA database for the manufacturing companies which are not consolidated nor part of a group.
