Abstract:
This work opens with a description of Industry 4.0. New tools could constitute the possibility for italian SMEs to increase their competitiveness, especially after Covid-19 pandemic. However, lack of competences is making hard the evolution of companies. In order to help them to react to the problem, I focus, then, on a particular case study: Fre Tor srl. The company is based in Belluno and it is mainly operating in the field of industrial automation. Fre Tor recognised the lack of competences and difficulties in promoting employees careers. It decided to merge in a multinational, Brovedani Group, that permitted to become bigger and innovate. Now the company has to face new challenges: a new brand image, administrative difficulties, poor communication, with the problem of competences that is struggling to be solved. All these elements together put at risk the heart of Fre Tor, made of attention to the client and strong emotional values. But these last will be the elements for success. Step by step, the company will solve all organizational issues, finally bringing possible solutions to the problem of competences.
