dc.description.abstract In today’s world of technology where people often forget the important role of nature, and the destruction of the environment continuously makes us realize the issues of the environmental crisis. Because of this destruction, especially in recent years, some steps have been taken to raise awareness through literature, and especially children’s literature became one of the main targets since the process of raising awareness of the environmental problems should be done from the root if we wish to pass on a safe and healthy world to next generations. The purpose of the following thesis is to explore the symbolism of Victorian gardens in Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden its cover and in the new film adaptation through the critical lenses of ecocriticism and fashion studies. it_IT
