dc.description.abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact that the contemporary platformization phenomenon is exerting on the Italian publishing industry. The investigation takes into consideration the perspectives of both the supply and the demand side of the sector, in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the subject, illustrating how the traditional structure and power relations are changing due to the introduction of platforms. Exploiting qualitative and quantitative research methods, it has been possible to identify the new trends shaping the industry. it_IT
