dc.description.abstract This dissertation aims to illustrate relevant aspects of agri-food legislation from an International perspective, the vulnerable personas legislation and the peculiar tutelage of intolerant or allergic personas as well as the differences, at international level, on consumer protection, livestock law and usage of chemicals. The first chapter provides an overview of the European legislation on aliments, the Common Agricultural Policy, the principle of mutual recognition and a focus on actors and functioning of agri-food supply chains in Italy. The second chapter develops on consumer protection in agri-food legislation as regards food safety, aliments’ label, fundamental information to be disclosed to the public and quality of aliments. The third chapter outlines a comparison between Chinese, United States’ and European regulations on consumer protection in agri-food set of rules, covering contemporary topics such as livestock law, usage of chemicals and antibiotics on bred animals. The last chapter highlights the research on tutelage of food allergic personas, the specific requirements that a product has to have to be eaten thereof, considering also the European norms on allergens, and the relationship between allergic personas and the right to health. it_IT
