Abstract:
The research work carried out by this thesis, entitled "The attempt to reach a new awarness in requesting or issuing a protection order against Domestic Violence in China: the new Anti-Domestic Violence Law of the People's of China, between achivements and challenges", offers a wide space for a clear and timely porttrait of the Worldwide problem of domestic violence. This work is made up by three chapters, the first part of the thesis deals with the concept of domestic violence: definition, behaviors and diffusion. In order to focus on China, the end of the first chapter treated the socio-cultural and legal development that China went and is going through during years in order to solve this matter. In the second chapter, specifically, are analyzed the new Anti-Domestic Violence Law of the People's Republic of China, issued in 2016, and those provision aimed to protect the victims safety: Personal Safety Protective Order. In particular the aim of this study is to highlight which are the goals and the limits of the legal response given by Chinese Government against domestic violence. The third chapter includes a real judgment issued by a Chinese court containing a Personal Safety Protective Order in Chinese , followed by its translation in English.
