Abstract:
The purpose of the present thesis is to draw a clear picture of the creative and cultural economy in the Europe Union, assessing its impact on economic growth and local development. To this aim, recent data on the relevance of the creative economy, in terms of cultural employment, added value to the GDP and trade balance of cultural and creative goods will be collected and evaluated. Thus, departing from a statistical and economic analysis, a full ranking of the performances of each state member in the cultural and creative field will be presented.
