Abstract:
During the last thirty years, researches' attention was focused on candidates and their behaviours during the recruitment process. The aim of this dissertation is, at the contrary, to put at the center of the attention the recruiter’s figure.
For an organization, reaching its long time objectives is vitally important. These can be possible only if recruiters decisions are in line with organizational guidelines.
The first part includes a detailed description of the recruitment process, using a theoretical approach. The second part of the work results fundamental in order to define who is the recruiter and what he/she does. In particular the analysis is both worker and job oriented. Indeed, every occupation is performed using a variety of activities and tasks; it also requires employees with a different mix of knowledge, skills and abilities. All these elements take part to the creation of an ideal recruiter’s profile. The last part of the dissertation figure out how recruiters are and work in real life. This it is possible through the use of interviews done to head hunters and employment agencies. The information collected allow to create a recruiter’s profile more in line with the actual labour context. The comparison between the results obtained during the theoretical analysis and the practical one suggests, if possible, one or several solutions.
