Abstract:
Current consumption patterns are not sustainable. As a means of combatting this, some businesses are opting for sustainable business models. One example of this is the Sufficiency-Driven Business Model, in which demand is attempted to be curbed. In this study, an existing example of a business following a model similar to the sufficiency-driven business model is simulated using System Dynamics. Two aspects of the business model are altered in order to see the effects on total sales volume. It is found that one of the aspects has an impact on total sales volume while the other does not have an impact.
