dc.description.abstract |
Bioeconomy strategies are currently promoted as progressive sustainability avenues in the Nordic countries and globally, also engaging key economic sector and industries. Different bioeconomy activities imply changes in the redistribution of biological resources, which have a direct influence on natural capital and ecosystem services. Based on a systematic review, the existing evidence regarding the impacts (positive and negative) of selected bio-based products (bio-energy, bio-chemicals, bio-products) on ecosystem services is analysed. The review will include scientific studies published in English and using life cycle assessment (LCA) and related methods. The aim is to understand the state of art of available literature, and to identify missing indicators and areas of improvement. Data and analysis will be used to develop an article written in English to be published in a scientific journal |
