At the present time, a fast and intense digitalization process in supply chain has begun. Thanks to the digitalizing and smart supply chain, it is easy to control the rapidly increasing data and complex variables on the global scale. With the contributions of Artificial Intelligence, it is possible to make more effective decisions in the process and to apply quickly. Artificial Intelligence is one of the most frequently used elements to make the complex structure of supply chain planning more predictable. The artificial Intelligence foresee what customers can order according to their past purchasing behavior with predictive analyzes. The algorithms which can make various estimations have the potential to prepare the products earlier and decrease the delivery time. Also, the Artificial Intelligence systems used in supply chain, especially for warehouse automation, reduce the problem of sending wrong products and considerably shorten the time of product release from warehouse. The purpose of this study is to understand the increasing necessity of integrating artificial intelligence techniques and supply chain in the globalizing and digitalizing world in order to maximize the benefits of using artificial intelligence in the supply chain with examining how Artificial Intelligence could be practiced. In order to provide this understanding, thesis organized with detailed information about digitalization and digital transformation as well as digital technologies, supply chain and value-adds of digitalization to supply chain. Also study contains, detailed information on artificial intelligence and its approaches as well as some combinations of artificial intelligence on supply chain. |
