dc.description.abstract My degree thesis concerns the evolution of the female role in the Chinese political and economic context. In the first chapter I analyze, with empirical method, the few small steps taken by women in the political context. In the second chapter I analyze, trough an analytical method, how many women are inside the Board of Directors of a Chinese company, what role they play and how they perform their job. In the third chapter, I want to compare the Chinese women who are within the Board of Directors with the Italian ones who hold the same office. I am analyzing the differences not only in terms of the role they both play but also considering the method they apply. The ultimate aim of my thesis is to confirm whether in modern China there has been an increase in the managerial role of women. it_IT
