Analysis on the history of both the “Suning Group” and the Italian football club “F.C. Internazionale”. The aim of this analysis is to examine how the CEO Zhang Jindong from selling home appliances managed to own a holding company capable of buying the majority of one of the biggest Italian football clubs. Furthermore, the analysis also is about how “F.C. Internazionale” ended up being one of the many holdings of the “Suning Group”. As soon as Suning Group bought the majority of F.C. Internazionale, many changes have been made, both in the managerial aspects and in the personnel composition. It is my aim to discover how these changes have been received by the previous F.C. Internazionale’s employees. Have there been both positive and negative consequences? How is the relation between “old” Italian employees and “new” Chinese employees? Did the Suning Group introduce a “Chinese model” of managing the club? How does the presence of Steven Zhang (son of the CEO Zhang Jindong) influence the working environment? I also want to cover what has been done to help the integration between the human recourses of the club, what these human resources did to help the same integration. Summing up all of the negative things and the positive ones that have been raised, I would like to compare both the experiences (mostly regarding the human resources) and the economic data between the one with the previous Italian president and the present one. Many data will be collected thanks to the Personal Assistant of the Chief Revenue Officer who has kindly show her availability in answering my questions. Which integration systems have been adopted? Is there a mirroring effect? How does the Suning Group want to manage its image and its international activities? How to exploit the growing interest in football in China as one of the national sports? Did the Suning Group introduce new aims in the minds of the employees? Or they’re trying to stick to the already existing visions and targets? I would like to analyse the future intentions that Zhang Jindong wish to accomplish as well as his movements in terms of pushing the Italian club to the top while growing his empire economically. |
