Abstract:
This thesis is focused on the design of a virtual reality application for helping actors during the training phase of a play.
The project starts from the results of a previous project developed at the University Ca’ Foscari and from an additional field research, involving real actors, to evaluate the parameters of interest in an actor’s training.
These results have been used as starting points for the design of an immersive virtual reality application, where different interaction techniques have been experimented for supporting the actors.
The resulting implementation, focused on a fragment of a famous play by Carlo Goldoni, has been tested with a group of high-school students, considering for the evaluation a set of variables which are meaningful in a typical VR user experience."
