Abstract:
The present dissertation discusses the theme of trademark counterfeiting on Chinese e-commerce platforms. The phenomenon is becoming more and more serious and widespread and the only way to efficiently contrast this unrelenting social and economic plague is through the joint efforts of several players in the international community: governments, law makers, Chinese platform owners and the right holders themselves. The present work could be considered as a sort of brief guide to the protection of international trademarks on Chinese most popular online marketplaces , considering all the possible areas of intervention to enforce intellectual property rights on the web arena.
